Potential in property

Founded in 2012, Guster Group draws on the experience of more than thirty years developing high quality residential and commercial property.

Working with private investors, we identify and secure property with potential to create inspiring buildings and spaces to thrive.

With a proven track record unlocking complex planning constraints and securing geared development finance in tandem, we navigate the route to maximise land value.

Simon Gusterson (Dip Val Surv)

Simon gained a Diploma in Valuation Surveying in 1988 and initially trained as a Development Surveyor with Cambridge Trust working on a range of commercial refurbishment and new-build schemes throughout Cambridgeshire.

A life-long passion for skiing led him to the mountains of Colorado for 5 years where he established a ski chalet business. Returning to the UK in 1996, he set up a series of joint ventures developing high specification residential projects in Islington, Hackney, Notting Hill and Camden.

Simon went on to lead a range of projects with Karaka Developments and continues to manage those investments today. His team gained a national conservation award for the conversion of 57 lofts and commercial spaces in Krakow, Poland and was shortlisted for Daily Mail ‘House of the Year’ for a high specification new build home in Clerkenwell.

Happily living back in Cambridge since 2003, Simon has identified and continues to advise on a number of high-profile developments in central Cambridge with a gross development value in excess of £125m.

Whilst always happy to talk shop, Simon loves skiing, saloon car racing and as an ex player supports Cambridge Rugby Union Football Club.
